In just over a hundred and fifty years the Bahá'í Faith has become the world's second most widespread religion after Christianity. It has had a presence in the United Kingdom for more than a century and Bahá'ís here are playing their part as members of this vibrant and growing religious community dedicated to promoting the oneness of all humankind. The Faith has no clergy, or individuals in positions of personal leadership, and is administered by elected bodies at local, national and international levels. The UK National Spiritual Assembly was one of the first to be established, in 1923. this is the website of the Carmarthen Community.
Nineteen Day Feasts & Holy Days The nine Bahá’i Holy Days are
celebrated in conjunction with neighbouring communities, as and when they
fall in the calendar, again all are welcome.
We frequently hold study circles Tranquillity Zone sessions of 30 - 40 minutes duration are offered FREE of charge to hospitals, nursing homes, businesses, and schools, upon request. Forming part of the local Bahá’i Community Service Project, the sessions provide an oasis of calm in a busy day, enabling people to destress, take time out, and focus on their own inner, spiritual being. The benefits derived from experiencing a session cannot be overestimated! The community are pleased to be able to offer speakers, talks and workshops on a variety of topics including personal development, spirituality, ethics, the role of women and so on, upon request.
